As an integral member of the Relationship Banking teams for Community
West Bank, this position will provide extraordinary client service to
our clients and prospective clients and internal team members,

Relationship Banking team member to assist in the accomplishment of

JOB OVERVIEW/PURPOSE
The Regional Market Manager will be responsible for coordinating and
supervising the activities of a team of Relationship Managers and
support staff in their respective region, including business
development activities, loan origination and loan portfolio
management, deposit goals, products and services expansion and
profitability. Provides guidance on and ensures compliance with
commercial lending practices, deposit and treasury management products
and procedures including all compliance and regulatory policies.
This position will also be responsible for meeting established and
agreed upon business development goals that support the Region’s
Business Plan in new production for loan and deposit relationships and
fee income. The Regional Market Manager will be responsible for
working with each of his or her team members to help them attain their
personal production goals and achieve their career objectives.
Although supported by credit analysts, this position is ultimately
responsible for credit quality and proper loan structure and
documentation of all loans originated within the region. This will
support the Bank’s objective of sound loan quality and sustained
profitability for the following: business term and lines of credit,
owner-occupied and investor commercial real estate, construction real
estate loans, SBA, and consumer loans.
This position performs all essential duties in compliance with
regulatory requirements as well as Bank policies and procedures.
The RMM must understand credit fundamentals, the credit needs of the
client and be able to recommend proper credit structure to meet
client’s financial needs and deliver on commitments.
Participates in industry groups and community civic events to promote
Bank products and services that improve the quality of life in the
communities we serve including CRA activities.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for coordinating and supervising the lending, deposit
and treasury management activities of a team of Relationship
Managers in their respective region, including business development
activities. Provides guidance on and ensures compliance with
commercial lending, deposit, and treasury management practices and procedures.
- Responsible for meeting established and agreed upon business
development goals that support the regional business plan in new
production for loan and deposit relationships fee income and profitability.
- Develops prospects from self-sourced leads and may include
existing clients, referral leads, bank partners and other sources.
- Assists team members with loan and deposit generation and
portfolio management.
- Determines prospects/clients' financial needs, and present
solutions to sell bank services. Is responsible for timely and
adequate preparation of annual reviews and recommendation to the
appropriate decision making bodies within the Bank.
- Manages of the regions loan portfolio to include loan renewals
done prior to maturity, proper risk ratings, and delinquency
control, along with management of the regions tickler and exception reporting.
- Frequent contact with clients to ascertain additional financial
needs, to ensure service satisfaction and to obtain referrals.
- Prospects and acquires new business clients in accordance with
Bank’s profit objectives.
- Performs such functions as outbound prospecting calls, conducting
prospect/client interviews, facilitating credit requests from
application to boarding, opening depository accounts, referring
prospects to other business units and cross-selling other bank services.
- Active involvement in local civic and nonprofit organizations to
promote goodwill, Bank’s commitment to the communities it serves and
to support Bank’s CRA objectives.
- Contacts clients and businesses, community and civic organizations
to promote goodwill and generate new business.
- Attends sales and trade meetings to develop new business prospects
and product solutions.
- Coordinates Relationship Managers and Analysts to properly
underwrite and analyze loan requests, including the analysis of
customer financial information and records according to the Bank’s
standard underwriting guidelines.
- Demonstrates understanding of all bank products, policies,
disclosures, and procedures.
- Provides team members with consistent coaching and feedback to
assist with accomplishment of regional goals and objectives.
Prepares performance evaluations in a timely manner and discusses
career path objectives and training needs or performance improvement
as needed.
- Meets response and resolution times as defined in service level
agreements and/or service requests, and follows established
processes to meet service level commitments.
- Completes all required regulatory training as assigned within
deadlines established including BSA, Bank Security and any other
training as assigned, within required timeframes and on an annual basis.
