JOB OVERVIEW/PURPOSE

The Loan Servicing Analyst performs a wide range of Loan Servicing functions including but not limited to providing supervision, mentoring, and assisting coworkers. This position works closely with the Sr. Loan Servicing Manager and aides in creating process efficiencies and procedure writing along with client inquiries and problem solving. This position performs all essential duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as Bank policies and procedures.

 

Essential Duties

  • Understands and performs all functions within the Loan Servicing Dept as assigned
  • Works with a high level of independent discretion
  • Provides recommendations for establishing efficient and streamlined processes
  • Assists with policy changes and procedure writing
  • Troubleshoots, researches, and analyzes problems that may arise when a loan file is or becomes out of compliance
  • Mentor and assist with staff training
  • Assists the Sr. Loan Servicing Manager as liaison between the department and other areas of the bank
  • Acts as the escalation point of contact for the department
  • Process and review core loan documentation as needed
  • Prepare loan disbursements for construction loans
  • Monitor AG/B&I Loans Quarterly-service fee tracking, and charge offs and recoveries report
  • Track and monitor insurance requirements to include force-placed insurance. Call customers regarding coverage prior to force placing insurance
  • Investor/Participation processing, including payments, remittances, reporting, and payoffs
  • Assist borrowers with telephone and written inquiries
  • Assist with issues related to the Bank’s relationship with entities like the FRB and FHLB including but not limited to FRB and FHLB reporting
  • Manages issues related to loan related insurance requirements including but not limited assisting with the management of force-placed insurance and making and responding to customers calls regarding coverage issues
  • May assist with loan documentation production
  • Assists with maintaining and release of collateral
  • Cross trains in additional functions of the department
  • Maintains an understanding of the SOX control environment, risk assessment and control activities for the assigned area(s). As a control operations, maintains the knowledge and skill to perform the control and remains independent from related procedures performed in the process.
  • Adheres to Sox-compliant procedures and consistently performs control activities accurately and completely with requisite source documentation
  • Completes all required regulatory training as assigned within deadlines established on an annual basis
  • Process payments on manufactured housing loans, core bank loans and SBA loans
  • Handles vendor relations and management alongside the Sr Loan Servicing Officer
  • Assists with funding and disbursing of loan proceeds
  • General Ledger Accounting and Certifications/ verifications
  • Reviews documentation and provides approvals as needed
  • Call back loan fundings, file maintenance, daily balancing, in accordance with the loan service level agreements
  • Meets response and resolution times as defined in service level agreements and/or service requests, and follow established processes to meet service level commitments
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned by supervisor

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably at a financial institution.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to manage and develop personnel resources.
    • Ability to disseminate information and guidelines clearly to employees and check for understanding.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member.
    • Ability to effectively comprehend and interpret Bank policies and procedures in the work environment.
    • Exhibit high degree of professionalism in handling and having access to sensitive information, and protect and maintain that confidential information.
    • Professional in appearance, and in verbal and written communication.
    • Proficient with: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions.

  • Ability to complete tasks within prescribed time frames.

Job Benefits

Compensation: Salary ranges from $57,000 to $78,000.00 per year. The salary range is determined by the role, job duties, and position level and reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job – related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
